1. Who we are
HoodaHire ("we", "us", "our") is a job search platform operated by Zoheb Hooda. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. What data we collect
When you use HoodaHire, we collect:
- Account information — your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash)
- Resume — the PDF you upload and the structured data we parse from it (work history, skills, education)
- Job preferences — titles, salary range, location, industries, dream companies, and blocklist
- LinkedIn connections — the CSV export you upload (names, job titles, companies). This data is stored only for your own use
- Job activity — jobs we find for you, which ones you liked or skipped, and which you applied to
- Tailored resumes — versions of your resume we generate for specific jobs
- Usage data — which pages you visit and which AI features you use, to help us improve the product
- Feedback — any messages you send us via the feedback widget
3. How we use your data
- To find relevant jobs for you and score them against your profile
- To tailor your resume to specific job descriptions using AI
- To show you connections you have at companies hiring for your target roles
- To send you daily job digest emails (if autopilot is enabled)
- To improve the product based on how features are used
- To respond to your support requests
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your resume or job preferences for advertising.
4. Who we share data with
We share data only with services required to run the platform:
- Anthropic (Claude AI) — your resume and job descriptions are sent to Claude to generate tailored resumes and messages. Anthropic does not use API data to train models.
- Resend — used to send you emails. They receive your email address and the email content.
- Brave Search API — used to find public LinkedIn profiles. We send job title and company name — no personal data.
- Render — our hosting provider. Your data is stored on their servers.
5. Your rights
- Access — you can view all your data by using the app
- Export — you can export your LinkedIn connections from the Connections page
- Delete — you can permanently delete your account and all data from Settings → Delete account. We remove all your data immediately.
- Correct — you can update your preferences, resume, and account details at any time

6. Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
7. Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all data is removed immediately. We do not keep backups of deleted accounts.
8. Security
Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Data is stored on Render's infrastructure with encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). We do not store payment card details.
9. Children
HoodaHire is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we will email registered users and update the date at the top of this page.
